About Wentnor Wentnor lies on a plateau in the valley to the west of the Long Mynd and is a little piece of god’s own work, which has a wild beauty to it throughout the year.  It is at its best in summer when birds sing and sheep graze contentedly on its hillsides. Many people wander its fields and moorland, enjoying the simple pleasures of fresh air and panoramic views across Shropshire.

		The village of Wentnor is found just off the B4383 Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle road. Or alternatively turn off the A49 to Church Stretton and follow signs for the gliding club.  Go past the club and down the other side of the Long Mynd to Asterton, at the bottom of the hill turn right following signs for Wentnor.
